Bed Specifications

Model FB Specs

• Underbed clearance of 5" minimum from box spring bottom to floor (industry standard is 7.5") for the first 30" at head of bed.
  
• Headboard posts (not necessary) rest onto Friendly Bed framework; footboard is not required
  
• 1.25" max thickness of bedframe rails (or the steel rails of a Hollywood frame)
  
• Maximum overall length of existing bed less than 96"; queen mattresses are 80" long to allow for headboard / footboard thicknesses
  
• Floor to top of mattress, 22" to 31"
  
• Clearance under headboard – underbed supports require floor space 2.5" high by 40" wide for queen / king headboard (36.5" wide for double and 33" wide for twin); this headboard space is usually wide open

Model TB Specs

• Under-bed clearance 5" minimum from box spring bottom to floor (industry standard is 7.5")
  
• Headboard/Footboard posts are required for twin beds to rest on Friendly Bed framework rest on to Friendly Bed framework.
• TB Model also fits to simple four cornerpost hospital/homecare bed.
  
• 1.25" max thickness of bedframe rails
  
• Maximum overall length of existing bed less than 93", twin mattresses are 75" to 80" long to allow for headboard / footboard thicknesses
  
• Floor to top of mattress, 22" to 31"
  
• Clearance under headboard- underbed support requires floor space 4" high by 3" (min) wide. Typically this headboard space is wide open
  
• Clearance under footboard – underbed supports require floor space 1.25" high by 22" to 36" between posts (this footboard space is typically open)
